THUNDERSTORM

THUNDERSTORM

What should I do during a thunderstorm?
As soon as we are informed by the meteorological service we will inform you!
Please follow the given advice and stay calm.
Show consideration for other visitors and follow the advice of security and stewards.
For best protection during a lightning storm:
Get into your car/camper/caravan. The principle of faraday cage protects best from lightning strikes. You’re also safer from hailstorm and flying objects than in any tent.
Do not touch any metal parts of your vehicle, pull off electric supply from the outside and you should be fine.
If possible give shelter to visitors that have no possibility to hide from the weather.
Basically: you should avoid all metal parts in a lightning storm.
Keep distance to high metal objects like stages, FOH, towers, trees and similar.
Do not lay flat on the ground, stay away from puddles and don’t use umbrellas!
